Ikaika & Cassandra [[ Wedding ]]

img_2793

Laguna Beach, CA:  Ikaika & Cassandra had a wonderful wedding on the beach in Laguna.  Ikaika is hawaiian and the wedding was hawaiian themes as well.  I screwed up on his name several times throughout the evening and he just laughed it off and joked about calling him iKea.  They were both so natural in front of the camera that I did not have to direct much for their photos.  The weather was perfect and the wedding went off without a hitch.

Jon & Christina [[ Wedding ]]

img_2019

Mission Viejo, CA:  A very dear friend of mine Christina got married this past Saturday at Mission Viejo lake.  I was there as a guest, but I had to take some snap shots of her big day.  She is one of my only friends that I still have from high school and she is one of the most pure hearted person you will ever meet.  Jon and Christina meet at a church singles conference less than a year ago.  Since then, they have been falling more and more in love with each other.  I could not be happier for the both of them and I wish them the best.

Heather & Scott [[ Wedding ]]

San Juan, CA:  This past Sunday I assisted my friend Greg with a wedding in San Juan.  Heather and Scott make such a beautiful couple and they know how to party.  The whole wedding party and family were so much fun and many flew long distances to see them get married.   Heather looked beautiful and I am sure Scott feels like a lucky man to have her.

My MacBook Nano and some fun with Hot Lights

dsc_0586Santa Ana, CA:  As you might know, I am a tech geek and love to find cool new things to play with.  My newest gadget is my MacBook Nano… well it is not really a MacBook Nano because Apple doesn’t make a “Nano” laptop.  This is my MSI Wind Netbook that runs OS X Leopard and Windows XP.  I just converted it to look more like a MacBook.  I thought it would be cool to have a fake Apple laptop since I can’t afford a real one.

I took these shots at my friends Tory’s house.  He is getting into photography and has built himself a little macro studio out of PVC pipes, some hot lamps, and poster board.  It worked out pretty well, but you can’t tell from my pictures because I suck at still life studio photography.  Plus those lights were really hot so I did not spend a ton of time with these shots.  It was fun nonetheless and we all have to start somewhere.

Photojournalism Practice at a Teen Rally

img_0744

Los Angeles, CA:   The church that I am a part of had a Teen Rally for the High School Student of Los Angeles on Saturday.  One of the ministers asked if I could take some photos for the website and I jumped at the chance.  I was planning on bring my camera anyways.  It was a great event with lots of singing, some dancing and a great message.  There was so much energy during the songs that it felt like a rock concert.
