Newport, CA : I had the pleasure of shooting Laura & Adam’s engagement photos at Crystal Cove in Newport. I have never been to Crystal Cove before, but I think I will be back again. There are tons of great spots to take photos and I will keep this location in mine for future engagement sessions. Laura and Adam are a very spiritual couple and it showed. We prayed twice during the photo shot. It was awesome and I enjoyed the day.
These were so beautiful and creative! Laura and Adam, you both look like you had a great time and built some wonderfully fun and romantic memories!

Great Pictures on Adam and Laura!!! I personally love the very very 1st one (close -up) and the 3rd to the last, colored sunset backdrop!!! I think the 2nd mentioned is worthy of blowing up for the wedding!!!

One of the things I love about being a photographer is all the gear. I consider myself a gear head. I love doing research to find what works best for me and what I want to buy next. It is just one of the many perks of being a photographer. I have been wanting a nice fast lens in the normal focal distance for a while and I finally found one for a good price. I ended up going with a Sigma because it is a sharper lens than the Canon 50 f/1.4 and it focuses much faster than the Canon 50L f/1.2. It is also less than have the price of the Canon 50L which is a plus. It is always good to save a buck and get a great lens.

San Clemente, CA: A good friend my wife and I just turned 30 and she had a big party to celebrate it. Maria asked if I could take some pictures of her party and I accepted (it was my gift to her). The party was held at a friends house in San Clemente … boy to they have a nice place. It is just like my place, only 10 times bigger. Her husband Rolf did most of the planning and Maria seemed genuinely encouraged. I hope my photos can also be an encouragement to her. I will see you at 30 in a few months.
This is totally a fake moment, but I still like it.
Audrey Hepburn is her favorite actress and a personal role model of Maria’s.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA: Jerry & Carol wanted to take some “day after” shots… Well that turned out to be a couple months after the wedding day. Jerry knew of a little lake in RSM that he loved so we headed out there to take some photos. The lake was awesome and had tons of area’s to take photo’s at.

Pomona, CA: Doyin and Jacqui’s wedding was held at the Trinity Unity Methodist Church in Pomona. The church has a lot of character and was larger than I expected. Good thing it was large because there was approx. 400 guests that showed up to see the ceremony… and it was on a Friday! As you can see, Doyin and Jacqui are well loved by their friends and family. Doyin and Jacqui are so easy going and chill that it made the day go by fast and with little to no stress on my part. Congrats… and enjoy the pics.
I really love this shot. It looks very similar to a very famous wedding photo.
I had to get really close for this shot. I waited for everyone to pray so I could sneak up and get a good shot. I think it was worth it.
This is the best cake topper ever.

Beautiful work! Jacob, you and your assistant truly captured the love, beauty, and joy of that day. Every emotion and nuance that was memorable is here in this blog. In all the years I did wedding planning and all the weddings I have been a part of I have never seen a couple so in love. Jacob, you memorialized that day for all to see. I await the finished album.
