Irvine, CA: I found out that one of the teens that I mentor at my church was going to be singing and dancing in a high school play… and I had to be there! Especially since it was Trent. Both my wife and I went and it was a very good performance done by all the students. I did not expect that Trent would be doing so many solos and songs. He was not the star of the play… well… at least I don’t think he was. He did at least 3 solos and was in several other songs. Way to go Trent!
During the HOPE Worldwide event, I was able to meet with a photographer and purchase a 24mm f/1.4 L lens. I have been debating whether to get a 24L or the 35L. After much debate, I decided that the 24L would suit me better at this point. I am sure I will also buy the 35L sometime this year, but for now I am excited to shot with this lens.
This lens will be replacing my 24-70mm f/2.8. The 24-70 was a step up from my 24-105 f/4 lens, but I found that I wanted something that can shoot in lower light situation but also wanted a very sharp lens. The 24L does that for me. I know a few pros that have this lens glued onto their camera 90% of the time.

Santa Ana + Costa Mesa, CA: H.O.P.E Worldwide is an organization that my church supports and we do a “Day on Hope” every year around M.L.K. day. This year, we decided to split it into two days, one on Saturday and the other on Monday. These images are from from Saturday’s Day on Hope. I took pictures of a group of volunteers called “Feed My Sheep”. They serve the homeless in Santa Ana every three weeks and give out groceries and cloths. The second location was at Andrew Lapic’s Grandmother’s house. The Lapic’s have been a faithful and strong couple for many years in the church and it was great to be able to serve and help their grandma with painting and gardening around her house.

I am not sure exactly how I ran into these two video’s, but they make my wife and I LOL. I guarentte these videos will make you laught too. If I am wrong, well I don’t want to be right. The first video is a tribute to our hampster Bella that we love so much. Enjoy.

Orange County, CA: Christina is a very close friend of mine and she just got engaged on New Years!!! My wife and I are so excited for the both of them as they get ready to get married in late March. They had a little get together party to celebrate their engagement last night. John is a great match for Christina and I hope their wedding and engagement goes beyond their expectations.
